Experience the grace, tone, strength and endurance that only a ballet barre class can offer. "Step Up to the Bar" is a full body conditioning class incorporating ballet, yoga, pilates and resistance training. This class will strengthen and stretch all major muscle groups in the body utilizing controlled movements that are focused, effective and safe. Results of bar classes include:
- core strength and tone
- a lifted, tighter seat
- toned arms
- long, lean thighs and calves
- greater range of motion/endurance
- improved posture and body alignment
- fluidity of body movements

We all know that stress creates havoc with our bodies, but did you know that it can lower your chances of conceiving? As any woman who has been trying to get pregnant knows, it can be a highly stressful time, filled with disappointment, anxiety and depression. It seems that every month becomes a roller coaster of emotions. The complicated process of trying to conceive is beyond our control, which in itself is a source of anxiety. Doctors are starting to identify stress as a factor in infertility. There has been strong evidence that reducing stress through yoga can help increase a womans chances of getting pregnant. Yoga techniques address the control issues and the anger often associated with infertility. Yoga helps to reduce stress, balances hormones, improves the flow of energy or prana in the body and opens the hips and pelvic area, through asana (movements), pranayama (breath work),and mediation. Stretching relaxes tight muscles and connective tissues. As the body starts to relax, blood flow into the pelvic area can improve. Meditation helps to calm the mind and balance the lower chakras (reproductive energy centers). The importance of the breath is key to induce a feeling of peace and “letting go”. Breathing and stretching also aids in detoxifying the body tissue. As we connect with our inner workings, we will gain clarity and strength to help us through this trying period.
All Yoga for Fertility classes are taught with an intention of nurturing you through your journey in a calm, grounding, and supportive manner. But, even more important, the classes provide a place of healing and peace. Realizing that you are not alone gives you a chance to receive and give support to other women. It will aid you in making the transition from negative feelings and thoughts to a stronger sense of self and helps reconnect to the divine feminine within you. BEGINNER SERIES We are currently accepting registrations for the new Absolute Yoga Beginner Series for the Fall. The 8 week sessions start Sunday, October 3 at 10:30AM and Tuesday, October 5 at 6:00PM. The cost per 8 week session is $144.00. Pre-registration is required. YOGA BOOK CLUB - 3rd Friday of the month at 12:30 . Enjoy two of the activities that you love together. Combine your love of yoga and reading. Each month we will have a 45-50 minute yoga class, followed by a book discussion about the current fiction or non-fiction book selected for that month, and lunch. The book for September is The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck. The September book club meeting will be held on the 4th Friday of the month, September 24. We welcome newcomers at any time.
