ABSOLUTE YOGA offers a refuge from the daily challenges of life. Located in Woodbury, Long Island, our two beautiful, peaceful studios provide the perfect environment for the ultimate union of body and soul.

We have over 50 classes per week in a variety of yoga styles and levels from beginner yoga to an energetic, strengthening warm vinyasa yoga. We also offer kid’s, pre- and post-natal yoga (yogi baby), restorative yoga, yoga for MS, as well as mat pilates and barre classes. Our yoga instructors are all certified in different styles and schools of yoga, including Vinyasa, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Anusara™ and Prana Flow. They are committed to offering you expert guidance as you experience the benefits that yoga can bring to your every day life.

Our mission at ABSOLUTE YOGA is to make yoga readily accessible to every body, regardless of age, level or fitness ability. It is not necessary to be flexible or strong to begin a yoga practice; an open mind and a willingness to explore your experience is all that’s required. Yoga is an amazing journey of self-discovery. We encourage everyone to come and experience some of the incredible benefits of this 5,000 year old practice.

Outstanding, experienced instructors. I especially like the spirituality in many of the classes. I also like the serene and spa-like atmosphere of the studio. Being able to purchase a package of individual classes suits my hectic schedule and limited budget. There are many different classes offered at many different times by different instructors. Very important for my unpredictable schedule. The variety will keep me challenged and engaged.

Why should anatomy and therapeutics be dry and boring. This training weaves all scientific details of the body back into experiential aspects of yoga, healing and how we stand in the world.  Just five weekends of your life spent in intensive experiential studies could forever change the way you teach and practice yoga. YOGI BEANS KIDS YOGA TRAINING with LAUREN CHAITOFF, co-owner and founder of YOGA BEANS, a premier yoga-for-kids-only studio in NYC from March 12-March 15, 2015

The Yogi Beans Basic Kids Yoga Teacher Training teaches anyone how to translate the practice of yoga into a language kids understand and enjoy.  This training makes it easy and accessible to teach yoga to any child from age 2 through 10.  In this 25 hour training, trainees receive all the tools necessary to teach a kids yoga class - you will learn it all and have a blast!  Since no prior yoga teaching experience is required to participate in Yogi Beans Training, the Training curriculum provides context for the practice of yoga.  Time is spent talking about basic yoga philosophy and how to bring these ideas into a kids' class.

MALA MAKING AND MANTRA WORKSHOP with Danielle Noyes, yoga instructor and jewelry designer, on Sunday, February 1 from 2-4pm  In this special workshop we will create our very own mala and learn how to use various mantras to bring in healing, peace, love, and prosperity. Repeating mantras while using our mala helps cultivate or deepen our meditation practice. This ancient practice enables one to release negative energy, allowing us to receive into our lives all that is good. $90 includes workshop, 108 gem stone beads, pendant, spacer beads, and thread.  No prior meditation or artistic experience is required.  Pre-registration required.

RESTORATIVE AROMA YOGA WORKSHOP with Dawn Peer on Saturday, February 7 from 2-4pm. This workshop will combine the healing art of Aromatherapy with Restorative Yoga in order to bring balance to our hearts. We will combine Restorative Yoga and Essential Oils in a single practice to allow our whole body to be brought into a deep relaxed state. We will incorporate heart opening postures to allow our emotional bodies to come back to loving who we already are! ALL ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING A JOURNAL OR SOMETHING TO WRITE ON! Restorative Yoga is supported yoga postures that help relieve the effects of chronic stress. With the support of props, such as bolsters, blocks, blankets the body relaxes releases tension and the mind gets calm and peaceful. THAI BODYWORK AND PARTNER YOGA WORKSHOP with Elyce Neuhauser and Christine Mammes on Saturday, February 14 from 2-4pm.  Share the Power of Touch!
Come explore the healing power that is right in your own hands.  In this partnered workshop, you will be guided through giving and receiving some simple but powerful techniques to stretch, open and balance yourself and others. Together we will enjoy an afternoon that fosters a healthy body, a peaceful spirit and compassionate heart.
