ABSOLUTE YOGA REFINED FLOW 200-HOUR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING BEGINS OCTOBER 5. If you are looking for a program to deepen your knowledge of yoga or you desire to teach yoga, our 200-hour comprehensive program is for you. Directed by Leslie Luft, owner and director of Absolute Yoga, E-RYT 500, and Elyce Neuhauser, E-RYT 500, this one weekend a month program melds dynamic vinyasa with precise alignment resulting in a Refined Flow training. This is a comprehensive Yoga Alliance registered training.

Know anyone who would benefit from yoga but is again to come to a class? This is the perfect class for them and its always a perfect time to start. This 8 week series is recommended for those new to yoga and for students who wish to review the basic foundations of a yoga practice. We will explore basic poses (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation and yoga philosophy. Each week will explore a new dimension of the practice.

Music can be an integral part of a yoga class, creating a mood, feeling state, and energy that can inspire both you and your students. However a playlist that doesn’t quite fit with the asana and sequences of your class can alternatively cause cacophony for both you and your students. Join Elyce as you explore ways to create appropriate playlists, whether your classes are energetic or gentle, and everything in between. Attendees should have Spotify or iTunes on a Smart Phone, iPad, or laptop. Bring your device with you to this workshop.

YOGA FOR GRIEF: HEALING AND PEACE FOR ALL BODIES WITH OLGA LUCIA

Grief is a normal part of life. Yoga for Grief is for anyone suffering a loss and experiencing the grief process. Grief can manifest in the emotional, mental, and, most notably, physical self. Through the practice of yoga and meditation, this workshop will facilitate healing and connection for both mind and body. This workshop will include a yoga class, meditation, and a reflection circle. The goal will be to learn how yoga and meditation can promote self-care, decrease stress, and create a sense of community.

YOGA, CREATIVITY & CRAFTS FOR CHILDREN WORKSHOP WITH TARA VENEZIA

Practicing yoga is a wonderful way to inspire children to feel good about themselves and the world around them. Through physical movement and mindful thinking, it can help children build the self-confidence and focusing skills they need to navigate through their busy lives. It also serves as a beneficial tool to help guide them in opening up to their innate and natural creativity. Join us for an afternoon of yoga and creative fun. In this workshop, children will learn yoga poses inspired by the autumn season. We will then have fun creating with crafts designed to foster and develop their focusing skills. What a wonderful way to help children transition through this beautiful, changing time of the year. The class, for AGES 6-10, will be taught by Tara Venezia. Tara has 14 years of experience as a teaching assistant in grades K-5. She has developed and taught a Girl Scout yoga program. She has been trained as a children’s yoga teacher through Yogi Beans LLC. She also has training in Teaching Yoga to Children with Disabilities.
